World Shocked by Troy Davis' Execution- Dawn of a New Civil Rights Movement
The death penalty sentenced upon Troy Davis met protests from around the world- when he was executed around 11pm on Wednesday September 22nd, the world stood in a shocked silence. How could a man be executed when the case against him had 7 of its 9 witnesses retract their statements?
Many bloggers and journalists are heralding this as the dawn of a new civil rights movement- my question to you is what do you think? What is your stand on the death penalty? If this does become a full-blown movement, which side will you take?
